Who:

The Performing Teams will be performing their Christmas Dances.

The Student Showcase is:

Open to returning, currently enrolled dancers in Ballet 1, Tap/Jazz1, Hip Hop 1 levels and up.

Choreograph a piece with your friends and family, and audition the piece to be in the Student Showcase! Start now and prepare for auditions together! Only 20 pieces will be accepted, so plan now! Be creative with choreography styles and costumes.

Students may audition in up to 2 groups.

Cost:

Auditions are free.

Once a piece is auditioned and approved, cost is $25 per person, per piece.

Studio Rental Time:

Would you like to rent the studio to rehearse with your friends before and after audition acceptance? Email adrielle@legacydancecolorado.com to request a time slot after DanceFit starting at 10am on Oct 12 & 26, Nov 9 & 30. Rentals are $30 for 30min.

Piece Guidelines:

-No solos this time, duets, quads, and more encouraged.

-Hair, makeup, choreography, & costumes are up to you and your groups!

-Costumes & choreography must be modest and age appropriate like all other Legacy numbers.

-Be creative with dance styles; the performance floor isn't conducive to tapping all over, but we have tap squares you can use!

-Songs should be faith based with a traditional Christmas focus - think - like the Songs of Christmas.

-Music should be final cut at 2min maximum. If you need your music to be cut for you, after audition acceptance, you can submit a request by emailing adrielle@legacydancecolorado.com with all info and you will be charged $20 per song cut.

Auditions:

-Friday November 1 at the Legacy Studio with time slots from 4-8pm, time slots will be given.

-Audition time slots open October 1, come back for the link to sign up!

-Be prepared to include your song choice when you sign up for an audition slot to ensure song acceptance/no duplicates.

-Auditions will be 5-10min each, you should come in full costume, hair, and makeup exactly as you hope to perform the piece.

-Bring a device you'd like to play your music from that can connect via aux or lightning.

-Audition Results will be posted right here on the website on Monday, November 4.

The Songs of Christmas will return in 2025, and the Student Showcase is here to stay! (It will just move dates and themes!)
